Joanne is the Director and founder of Accent on Hearing. She earned her Masters Degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985 and has been practicing Audiology since. She worked in the New York metropolitan area for over 10 years prior to her move to Colorado in 1995. She worked in Colorado testing hearing and dispensing technologically advanced hearing aids for 7 years. She decided to open her own practice to offer the care and quality of service she knew could be obtained, at reasonable prices. She is Certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of Colorado. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Colorado Academy of Audiology and the Adademy of Dispensing Audiologists. She is devoted to offering the highest quality of service. She prides herself on her outstanding professional expertise and training. She enjoys assisting in improving the quality of life that improved hearing can provide. Joanne also takes pride in her family including her husband, John, and their 3 sons, Sean, Patrick and Brian.
Rachel Roberts earned her Master's and Docctorate degrees in Audiology from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. In addition to her clinical training at Indiana, she participated in several research projects focusing on the physiology of the mammalian cochlea, otoacoustic emissions, and auditory paychophysics. As a clinical audiologist, she emphasizes a patient-centered approach, working with patients and their loved ones toward a more fulfilling life, including in later years, through amplification or assistive technologies.Rachel is licensed to practive audiology the State of Colorado, is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is a member of the Colorado Academy of Audiology and is a professional member of the Hearing Loss Association of America. Rachel also has a Master's degree in Public Administration from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and has worked in executive-level State government. She and her husband, Eric, are blessed with a lovely and vivacious daughter, Lenora.
Nitro is a retired service dog that assists as needed in the daily operations of the office. She enjoys frequent snacks, balls, bones, rawhide and lots of attention
